6 months ago, I completed my owner-built 29 square home for a grand total of $175,000. I have recently received an independent license valuation on the home (building only) stating the value as not less than $480,000. This valuation amount is due entirely to the type of construction and products used including limestone wall cladding, copper shingles & asphalt roofing.
